It was my first time in the city. Flew down with the family for the heck of it. It is a pretty nice place - tons of stuff to do.I only saw three Z's in 5 days though - I was surprised as the weather was decent. The nicest one was a white wingless TT rolling down Embarcadero near Pier 35 at about 1 oclock in the afternoon on Friday. Anybody on here? Here are the Cliff notes from the rest of the trip: Golden Gate Bridge - cool Bay Bridge - pretty cool too Alcatraz tour - outstanding - two thumbs up Sea Lions at Pier 39 - pretty entertaining Rest of Pier 39 - weak Blue Angels (in town for Fleet Week) - great on paper and during practice, weak during the show (same as the 49ers actually) Cable Cars - most fun I have had under 10 mph in a long time and the museum / powerhouse tour was pretty cool Candlestick Park - "Is this the right place? I thought we were going to see an NFL game?" 49ers/Falcons - "Is this the right place? I thought we were going to see an NFL game?" Niner Noise troupe - best team on field all day Food: Pretty good. Special mention of Sushi Groove near Union St and Hyde St. Good Sushi, good grooves. Funniest Moment: My 11 year old daughter, who is all about shopping, darted into a store called "Out of the Closet". Needless to say, we had to have a little chat afterwards.
